Location: US:PA: Hershey Work Type: Full Time FTE: 1.00 Shift: Day Hours: 8:00a - 5:00p
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the development, configuration, implementation, and on-going support of clinical and business-related applications and other supporting IT systems for Penn State Health systems. This role involves working closely with clinical, operational, financial services, and administrative staff to optimize the use of applications, ensuring it meets the needs of the healthcare organization and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between IS, customers, and/or vendors, and participate in meetings with all operational areas using the software application.
Technical Support: Provide continuous technical support and troubleshooting for clinical and business-related application users, ensuring timely resolution of system-related issues.
System Maintenance: Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patch installations, firewall requests, vulnerabilities, cyber exceptions, server certificates, and system backups, to ensure efficient and secure system operations.
Cyber Risk Assessments: Complete cyber risk assessments, documents, and network diagrams (initial and renewals) for supported applications.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, empathizing with users regarding system issues, and setting appropriate expectations for issue resolution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Either a Bachelor's degree plus four (4) additional years of related experience or eight (8) years total of related experience required.
In-depth knowledge of at least one area of information technology and a solid working knowledge of several areas of information technology required.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office required.
