Pulmonology clinic attached to hospital for easy access to testing and consults
Opportunity to practice sleep medicine (if desired)
Clinic has 13 fully equipped exam rooms
36 bed ICU, 24 bed medical ICU and 12 bed CVICU
12 bed step-down unit
Fully staffed Hospitalist program
Support from Mercy's Virtual Care Center (e-ICU, e-Acute, and Tele Neuro/Stroke)
System wide EPIC EHR

Joplin is in the southwestern corner of Missouri, in an area referred to as the "Four State Area" given its proximity to commute to Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Joplin has a population of approximately 51,000 and a daytime population of 240,000.

An abundance of outdoor recreational activities available to include hiking, camping, rock climbing, fishing, and hunting, state parks and national forests, lakes, rivers, and trails.
