The Outpatient Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a licensed registered nurse that provides assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, outcomes, identification, implementation, and evaluation in the Outpatient settings for patients with Diabetes. The CDE ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to patients in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSNE), medical center policies, clinical guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
