Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of training in software applications to support system initiatives via instructor led training, onsite support for clinical staff, and development of technical documentation. Responsible for collaboratively working with external vendors and clients to produce learning materials which effectively support the training and development of employees. Responsible for providing mentoring and coaching to new specialists to maintain quality in communication, work prioritization, training design and delivery, and material development, and training delivery. Responsible for preparing status report to measure department performance to ensure that organization goals and objectives are achieved.
Job Duties
- Consult and coordinate with Geisinger project leaders to identify capability gaps impacting current and future business strategies.
- Prepare lesson plans including methods, materials, and documentation to be presented and revise, modify and develop course content to address current solution features, functions, and workflow to address client needs.
- Evaluate learning solution effectiveness using best practice methodologies aligned with performance and business outcomes.
- Conduct training and classroom-based coaching onsite and in virtual environments. Provide instructor led training to individuals and groups. Respond to 1:1 education request while remaining within Service Level Agreement expectations. Apply general medical terminology during training delivery when appropriate.
- Provide EHR product updates and optimization training. Responsible for testing and documentation of application upgrades.
- Obtain and maintain associated certifications and subsequent New Version Trainings.
- Responsible for all aspects of training in software applications to support Revenue Management requirements and Geisinger initiatives and mission.
- Develop an appropriate learning curriculum to meet business needs including process design and solution adoption best practices. Integrate knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines into educational programming.
- Assist Education Specialist Lead(s) with conducting assessments, planning, organizing, and facilitating a broad range of employee development and training programs.
- Assist with overseeing Credentialed Trainer's classroom delivery standards.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, lesson plans and creates training schedules.
- Independently conducts live, instructor led training on various applications and Revenue Management guidelines.
- Responsible for maintenance of course content, training materials, and documentation that may include educational technology such as computer-based training (CBT) and web-based training (WBT).
- Serves as Subject Matter Expert in an area beyond standard service lines. Assist in resolving training escalations for operational problems and technical issues.
- Support and contribute to development of new products, services, and techniques. Onboard new technologies and programs with moderate oversight and guidance.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
