University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the M Health Fairview Maple Grove Cancer Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This position will also provide back-up physics coverage to University of Minnesota Physicians Radiation Therapy Center in Wyoming, Minnesota.
The Maple Grove and Wyoming Radiation Oncology Clinics have a single TruBeam linear accelerator in addition to Philips and Siemens CT simulators, Mosaiq record and verify system, and Philips Pinnacle treatment planning system. A wide array of QA equipment is also available.
The two clinics are staffed with three radiation oncologists, two physicists, and three dosimetrists.
Support is provided by the University of Minnesota Department of Radiation Oncology's physics/dosimetry group which includes 5 PhD and 2 MS level physicists, 2 physics residents, and 6 dosimetrists.
Physicists are responsible for proper operation of equipment, participating in treatment planning, and working with other members of the care team.
M.S. in Medical Physics and ABR board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical medical physics experience including all aspects of linac and IMRT QA, treatment planning, and dosimetry.
