SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Registered Nurse/RN in this role is responsible for handling phone calls from the patients who are seeking medical information and/or medical attention. The RN will perform an undertake assessment of their health needs, with the aid of decision support software and give advice as appropriate in compliance with appropriate protocols. Schedule appointments (as the patient's condition requires), answer questions, and provide health education as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing required
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required
3 years of experience as a registered nurse in the inpatient or ambulatory care setting required
Phone triage experience preferred
