SUMMARY OF POSITION:
***$7,500 SIGN ON BONUS***
Responsible to support the surgeon and members of the surgical team during the operative procedure and serves as a clinical resource.
Associates Degree of Applied Science from a Surgical Technology program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in Surgical Technology required.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Training (NCCT) is required.
Must complete a program from an accredited institution or complete a training program in the armed forces.
Must complete the necessary continuing education to keep their certification.
2 years experience in Surgical Technology required.
Knowledge of instrumentation, anatomy, physiology and surgical procedures required.
Excellent oral communication skills required. Computer skills and ability to collect data preferred
