Serves as the primary party responsible for Financial Planning systems security development, implementation, set-up and maintenance. Administers and maintains user access to all Financial Planning applications. Identifies factors causing deficient security access and takes steps necessary to resolve identified security access issues. Assists in development and enforcement of system data security and data management policies. Maintains key data structures and integrity for accounting units, accounts, and job profiles. Performs analytical and technical tasks relating to the Financial Planning processes including merging data from various sources, ad hoc data analysis, and report writing for internal and external customers. Responsible for report development including planning, design, validation, implementation, and support. Presents any and all relevant data in an accurate and timely manner. The position requires a solid understanding of report development and data analyses.
Functions as the security administrator for all Financial Planning systems by establishing and maintaining the appropriate structures, profiles, and documentation for new and existing users.
Ensures appropriate authorizations are secured for requested access level(s).
Contacts requestor or approver if additional information is needed.
Resolves access problems via user information gathering and testing.
Develops and maintains an in-depth functional and technical understanding of the Financial Planning software environment including the underlying database structures, data field utilization, data flow, and system features, capabilities, and limitations.
Functions as a super user with an enhanced level of understanding of assigned data applications, reporting tools, processes, and source systems. As such, serves as an internal expert with respect to data understanding, interpretation, accuracy, and applicability to the question being asked.
Assists with report development and reporting related documentation and assignments.
Establishes and maintains accounting unit organizational charts to ensure that proper access is built within the software to facilitate reporting and financial planning processes.
Requires ongoing contact and communication with various layers of management throughout Geisinger to set-up and annually validate structure.
Maintains various components of Job Profile, Account and Accounting Unit structure within the various Financial Planning applications.
Verifies that all structure has been established correctly and works to resolve problems that arise.
Coordinates report distribution, including audits, to ensure accurate distribution of reports and online viewing while maintaining confidentiality.
Develops and maintains functional and technical expertise in assigned areas of Financial Planning software to provide recommendations for and implement special features for increased efficiency and more effective utilization of system capabilities.
Participates in software upgrades via training, documentation review, and testing.
Coordinates, verifies, and maintains new hire, termination, and transfer notification process of all Geisinger employees within Financial Planning software systems.
Performs review of security access as defined by ISO and audit requirements for Financial Planning software and SharePoint sites.
May assist with data imports to the Financial Planning software including financials, manpower information, statistics, etc.
Ensures accuracy and validity of data used in the Financial Planning software, assigned reports, and analysis.
Provides project supports as assigned to include, but not limited to, testing patches, testing enhancements, and writing and verifying documentation and testing scripts.
Performs data auditing as needed.
