Assistant or Associate Professor of Exercise Physiolog

Tenure track, Assistant or Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology appointment beginning August 2020. Teach and develop undergraduate courses in Exercise Physiology and related areas such as Exercise Testing and Prescription, Strength and Conditioning, and Sports and Exercise Pharmacology, and graduate classes such as Exercise Physiology. The successful candidate is expected to establish a strong research program supported by internal and external funding, engage in collaborative research endeavors with existing faculty members, contribute to the mission of the department in undergraduate and graduate education, supervise/advise undergraduate and graduate majors, and engage in departmental, college, and university service. Minimum requirement is an earned doctorate (ABD considered) in Kinesiology (or closely related field) with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Applicants should have a record of scholarly work and ability to develop a focused agenda for independent research in their discipline. Previous university-level teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is highly desirable. ACSM, NSCA or other specialty certifications are also encouraged.
